Hey guys! Between commitments in school, extracurriculars, friends, and family, it’s been hard to prioritize everything while excelling in it at the same time… I’m sure many of you can relate (and if you can’t, lucky you!) and I’d like to share some of my tips to motivate yourself to power through the day and get everything done like a pro
Music is SO important! If you find the right song, playlist, artist, genre, anything that stirs up the right feeling, getting motivated gets so much easier!
Ok, I’ll admit this one is really weird, but going on Pinterest to find inspirational quotes REALLY helps me! All it takes is just one quote that really hits the spot, and then the rest gets easier. Sometimes I even go on Pinterest to look at other people accomplishing their goals to inspire me to reach mine!
Putting on Makeup
Nothing makes me feel more awake like a fresh coat of mascara and lip salve does! I’m all for a bare-faced look, but putting on makeup and going through all the trouble just forces me to go out and do things… Because makeup makes me feel like a boss, and if I feel like a boss, I act like one too!
Making a To-Do List
Tasks always seem a lot more than they really are. Before I made my to-do list for today, I was laying in bed dreading all the work I had to do today. However, as you can see from the list, it’s a lot more approachable than it was in my head. I like to really specify what I need to do so that I don’t forget!
I can’t think if my room and desk aren’t clean. A cluttered desk is a cluttered mind! Simplifying the things on my desk help me to think clearly because there aren’t as many distractions. Plus, it just makes me feel really organized.
Make Your Bed
Ok, so this ties into the tip above, but making your bed makes a HUGE difference. Not only does it make your room seem 10000000x cleaner, but it also makes you (or at least me) not want to jump into bed. Why? Because then all that effort it takes to make a bed will be wasted.
This is BY FAR the hardest to do. But once you just get past that mental block, achieving your goals are so much easier. THE MENTAL BLOCK IT’S THE WORST! But just target what’s holding you back, and FORCE yourself to get started on tackling that first task on your to-do list (like I am right now!) You got this!
Well, That’s it for now folks! Now stop reading this and start achieving your goals!
